Senior Bailey Rodruiguez shares how excited she is for all the senior activities. “I like that we have senior activities and have get to make great memories with our pieces,” said Rodriguez. “I’m looking forward to senior pants and sash day and getting to use my artsy side again.”
One month of the school year is down, and eight more to go. Seniors are soaking up their last school year as they await graduation countdown. The first semester is when seniors have to think about life after high school and decisions about their future. All the chaos of answering PIQs, writing their college essays, and applying to their dream schools. Trying to balance extracurricular activities, academics, and part-time jobs during the final year is challenging. The fun things are also starting to begin for the senior activities. Starting off the senior year strong at Downey High School, seniors have made their senior crowns. They get to show their creative side and decorate their crown to their liking.
