‘Tis the season of Holiday Drinks returning to Starbucks. Holiday drinks are a variety of delectable beverages that remind people of the holiday season and everything it has to offer. This holiday season Starbucks has released two new holiday drinks. The iced gingerbread oat milk chai latte is new to Starbucks’ holiday menu as well as the Oleato gingerbread oat milk latte. Both of these dairy free drinks can be enjoyed either iced or hot as well as blended. Starbucks is very inclusive as it allows for the customer to customize their drink based on their dairy preference. They are also inclusive in the advertisement of these drinks as three out of the six holiday drinks on the menu are promoted as non dairy.
Starbucks enthusiast Karen Serrano tried the gingerbread frappuccino from the holiday line and described the flavor to resemble “ A sugar cookie with sugar sprinkles, and a subtle hint of cinnamon.”. Serrano followed up that statement saying “ I would get this drink again and rate it a 9/10, I did take a point off because it was a little bitter in my opinion. A suggestion would be to add caramel for a sweeter taste.”.
Starbucks releases new holiday drinks every year which keeps their customers intrigued and makes them want to try out the new flavor. I recently was intrigued by the returning sugar cookie almond milk as I had never tried it before and was amazed by its taste. I got the drink in the blended form and it was served with sprinkles which gave it a very festive touch. I would describe the flavor to be a warm toasted vanilla flavor with a slight coffee and hazelnut undertone. It also reminded me of a funfetti cake which I enjoyed. Overall I would recommend trying a festive drink this holiday season.
