After month-long renovations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Furman Park reopened in July 2020 around the same time park worker Zoe Beltran, 12, returned to work. “It’s nice to have the parks open but it is stressful to go to the parks and enforce rules because some people just want to use the equipment and we have to tell them no,” Beltran described. “But a majority of the staff is happy to be back and working.”
