On March 23, 2023, the Downey boys' varsity lacrosse team took a victory at their home game against the Compton Tarbabes with a score of 12-0. The Vikings gave an outstanding game and showed much determination throughout the match. The team has had a terrific season overall, ranking 1st in Ocean Lacrosse Standings, with a current win streak of 3. The team, this year is being coached by Coach Gutierrez, who has led them and shown them a wonderful season.
