Acknowledging the severity of receiving a vaccine, Internal Medicine Physician, Ana Stark, testified. “There is no political statement being made in wearing a mask or getting a vaccine...it simply does not exist,” states the Salvadoran born successor. Though science is never 100% certain, Stark informs that the trials have reflected promising results. Motivated to pursue a career in medicine after witnessing innumerable deaths of all ages in El Salvador, Stark tells “death follows you”; the most common factor seen throughout her patients is regret. Having witnessed patients say “goodbye” through iPads and experienced rigorous hours double gloved, N95 masked, and shielded—Stark views the vaccine as a testament to hope.
