The Downey Legend

The Downey Vikings baseball team has officially started its season. On February 16, 2023, they went up against Los Altos and won with a score of 4-1. As the team was pumped and the crowd was cheering, I interviewed players, coaches, and fans about how they felt during the game and how they think the rest of the season is going to play out. Warming up to be next to bat, Michael Reyes, 11, talked about how he thinks the rest of the season will play out. “We have a really strong team this year, everyone knows what they have to do so I see this season going very well.” Reyes stated, “I can’t wait to see how the rest of the season will play out.”
