Jaylene Cardona, Business Manager
First year staff member of The Downey Legend newspaper, Jaylene Cardona, 12, photographer and business manager, aspires to become a surgical nurse after high school. Cardona’s passion is to help people both mentally and physically in order for them to enjoy their remaining life. She aims to earn her doctoral degree within five years at her dream college, whether it be Berkeley or NYU, she plans to work hard until she reaches her goals.
Striving to be a better person, Cardona chose to help those in need regardless of the costs. “I would put others first before I help myself.” Cardona stated. “However, there’s a time when I need to step back away from the situation to remember to breathe and have time to myself.”
