Working hard in her second year as a Downey Legend staff member, Gina Campos, 12, spends her time sharpening both her writing and photography skills. Campos is a former member of Downey’s volleyball and track team but now spends her time appreciating art and nature while she visits exhibits and the outdoors. As for her future, she is working hard towards her goal of graduating, hoping to pursue a future career in medicine or psychology.
As for her time here at DHS, “It was very short, but the time I've been here has been fun, and now, I am grateful to be back on campus,” Campos stated. “The goal I have for this school year is to cherish the fact that we are back on campus. Being online made me realize how unappreciative I’d been of the simple things like going to school every day. I want to make the most of this year and make up for the time I lost.”
