Downey Legend staff member Maribel Magdaleno 11 joins for her second year as a writer. Magdaleno was part of ASB her freshman year and hopes to have a future as a registered nurse. “I want to help patients that can’t walk and take care of babies when they’re born,” says Magdaleno. Being a people person and wanting to help people is also a reason why Magdaleno joined newspaper “I joined again after my first year because it was fun and you get to make new friends.”
