First-year photographer in newspaper, Frank Hoyos, 12, endeavors into his last year of high school, hoping to put himself out there and make long-lasting connections. Hoyos is an introverted and enjoyable person who expresses admiration for photography. While Hoyos has struggled like other students, he doesn’t turn a blind eye to these challenges and works hard to improve himself to overcome them, and by joining the Downey Legend’s staff, he does just that.

“I want to try my best, put myself out there, and have a fun experience,” Hoyos expresses.  “I don’t want to miss out on stuff or have uninteresting experiences.”
