Cesar Lopez, Writer
As a returner of the newspaper staff, Cesar Lopez, 12, rejoins The Downey Legend as a writer. On his own time, Lopez enjoys riding bikes, spending quality time with pets, and reading. Moving past high school, Lopez plans to major in journalism to continue his writing as a writer for the LA Times. Lopez intends to use his photography, newspaper, and yearbook experiences to create more inclusive stories for everyone.
“It’s really eye-opening. You get exposed to other people’s opinions and you get to give a voice to those who may not have one.” Lopez stated. “You get to find out why certain people feel a certain way.”
