Gathering for a pregame meeting before facing off the Glendora Tartans at their home field, the Downey High School Varsity Baseball team readies themselves to play their first game of the 2022 season at Glendora High School on February 12, 2022. When asked about their goals for this game, starting third baseman, Jair Quiroz, 12, explains, “[I hope] everyone stays on the same page and doesn’t get distracted.
