After winning against Warren High School with a final score of 15-4 on October 26, 2021 at the Downey High School swimming pool, Senior Varsity water polo athletes Jose Jaime, Wyatt Calderon, and Jonathan Vigil all reflect on the match and their team’s performance. “I feel amazing,” Calderon shared. “It was a great accomplishment.”
Both Vigil and Jaime expressed their excitement after winning against their rivals. “[We] got pumped up because it’s our school’s rival, so we had to win it,” Vigil stated. “[I] felt excited, you know, it was a big game over Warren,” Jaime agreed.
With an overall record of 17-7, the Boys Varsity Water Polo team will host their last game of the regular season at home against California High School on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
