Longtime rival soccer players’ battled Warren on February 11 at the DHS field
and beat the bears 2-1.
Before the game started many of the crowd members screamed a cheer for the varsity soccer players as a student from DHS had something made out of wood that got the crowd really excited.
“Alex Patio is leading the team in goals scored,” said captain Tyler Vance.
In previous years they struggled, but now they’ve done better than expected.
“Beating Paramount was our favorite memory”, soccer players Gus Guerrero and Misael Samayoa agreed.
Soccer players from DHS beat Paramount on Jan. 15 and with the score of 2-1 from this season.
These soccer players have been trying their best and they’re hardest to be where they are now.
“The responsibility is to keep them positive, make an example on the field, and to not argue with the referees” Captain Miguel Samayoa said.
The soccer team not only won against Warren, but they also made it to CIF this year; and made it to the playoffs.
