With few friends to take up her time, Jade Robles, 12, takes part in the world of YouTube with her own channel whenever she is free because of the inspiration given to her by her her favorite YouTubers. “At first, it was kind of just for me and my few friends and now I’m very grateful for all of the subscribers that I do have” Robles stated. “Now, I guess people kind of just watch me now, like two of my videos have over two thousand views and I think that’s pretty cool.”

Excited for college, senior, Taylor Harrison prepares to leave Downey and pursue a major in psychology at her dream school New York University. “I’m ready to go to college and be independent,” Harrison said. “I want to be a psychiatrist because of what I’ve experienced; I didn’t have someone to talk to about my problems, so I want to be there for others.”

Ever since her and her brother started taking in stray dogs off the streets when they were kids, Jennifer Lopez, also known as “JLO”, 11, has been a lover of animals, especially dogs. “They [dogs] are just so helpless and I just feel the need to help them and love them,” Lopez said. “All they do is give you love.”
