Lily Jane Nguyen, an Illustrator, has shown love for the world of art from a young age through her constant childhood doodling. With only a couple hours set for drawing a day, Nguyen began her art journey in seventh grade. As time passed her dedication to art only grew greater. “From 10th grade to the present I have tried to put in more hours, maybe 20 hours a week,” Nguyen stated. “Now, with distance learning, I can now go anywhere between 20-45 hours a week, but it always varies.” Along her journey, she strives to be a good “self-taught artist” but she grew more as an artist because from taking courses at CGMA, Brainstorm, and now her private mentor, Jeff Chan (@jeffchendesigns). “These worked for me the best as I was already used to structured learning from highschool,” Nguyen stated. “I figured the teachers knew what was better for me than what I thought was better for me.”
