Aspiring musician and actor, senior Justice Lucero, starred in the indie-rock band, Arcade Fire’s newest music video for “Afterlife”, a track off the band’s newest album Reflektor.
Q1: How were you able to take part in the video? Did you have to audition?
A1: I’m in a music group and my agent wanted me to branch off into acting. The people for casting called my agent and told them they liked how I looked so I auditioned and they called me back the next day.
Q2: Are you a fan of the band? Were you excited when you knew the video was for them?
A2: Yes, I am. I didn’t know ‘till the day of that the video was for Arcade Fire. I was excited more than anything because I knew it was going to be big.
Q3: What role did you play in the video?
A3: I was the oldest son in a family that had lost their mom.
Q4: How was the set and how long did it take to film?
A4: The people on set were really friendly and filming was in different places and took three and a half days, but since I’m a minor I could only work from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Q5: Do you think this will open any doors for your future?
A5: Hopefully… I’m not positive that it will, but I think it looks good on my resume, so hopefully.
