Q1: What is your title on the dance team?
A1: We all have to play a part to pull our own weight in order to make the team an easy and fun process. Just being a senior on the team we have more seniority, but everyone on the dance team has a say and puts in ideas. In other words, we don’t really have any titles. We all do our part to make up the dance team.
Q2: How long have you been dancing for?
A2: I’ve been dancing since I was four, so that’s about thirteen (almost fourteen years).
Q3: What has taught you?
A3: Dancing turned into being my life because it has taught me how to learn from others. It taught me hand-eye coordination and how to multitask. It taught me how to be patient and how to understand many styles of people and their personalities. I’ve learned how to connect with music and how to find love in a sport that many can’t find love in.
Q4: What does dancing mean to you.
A4: The idea of telling the story of a song or concept through your body is cool to me. To have people not know anything about dancing and think what we’re doing is interesting, is a really awesome feeling.
Q5: Are you going to pursue a career in dance?
A5: I do want to make a career out of it. I’m minoring in dance, and I hope that one day I can try out for the show So you Think you can Dance.
