“People with COVID-19 should be isolated for 5 days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving.”

 

“People who are unvaccinated or are more than six months out from their second mRNA dose…CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days.”

 

“Individuals who have received their booster shot do not need to quarantine following an exposure.”

Getting COVID-19 was an experience for Cindy Guitierrez, 12, and her family. Isolating from her family wasn’t so bad and getting sick wasn’t as bad as other peoples worst experiences. Guttierrez said, “I think they are changing the isolation rules because they found out more about Covid itself and to let people go back to work/ school as soon as possible.”

Learning more about Covid, Jazmin Arcero, 12, thinks they should change isolation rules. For current people, Covid doesn’t last 5 days in their system but more. They need time to recover, an example is other people get it worse and need to be hospitalized,” Arceo said. “They should change the new isolation rules in order to keep our families and communities more safe from spreading COVID-19 ”.
