As may of you know their are many clubs in schools however not many students know about SkillsUSAand today I will be talking about SkillsUSA and interview students on their opinions on SkillsUSA.

SkillsUSA is America’s proud champion of the skilled trades. They’re a student-led partnership of education and industry that’s building the future skilled. Their mission is to empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members. SkillsUSA offers competitions, events, conferences, programs and more to help students grow their personal and professional skills through a holistic approach that’s tailored to each step up the educational ladder.

SkillsUSA is a student-led and advisor facilitated organization. To develop the employability and technical skills needed in the workplace, students must do the leading, planning, implementing and evaluating work. SkillsUSA California is part of a national student organization whose primary purpose is to prepare youth for high performance employment opportunities in an industrial and technical workforce. One of the benefits of SkillsUSA membership is the opportunity to apply for scholarships available only to SkillsUSA members. SkillsUSA  emphasizes total quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education and pride in the dignity of work. 

SkillUSA also promotes understanding of the free enterprise system and involvement in community service activities. SkillsUSA is a national organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations and for further education.
