Brandon Yandel Diaz, Videographer
As he approaches his first year as a Videographer, Brandon Yandel Diaz, 11, looks forward to getting good films of events this year whether it’s sporting or city events. He enjoys drawing, listening to music, and playing the keyboard, guitar, and drums. His favorite animal is a Chinchilla because they are fluffy, tiny, and cute. Favorite place is the park during colder weather and enjoys nature around him. Diaz’s goals this year is to keep good grades, go to school dances with friends, write a good poem that he will enjoy reading over and over again. Diaz plans to go on to Cal Poly Pomona or UCLA to be a freelance photographer recording sports and capture every moment that happens in sport history. Diaz is a chill, funny, easy-going person who is kind and ready to help others. As he is currently in The Downey Legend as a Videographer, Diaz enjoys filming, exploring, and having memorable moments with others and is open to new experiences.
“I look forward to filming a lot of events this year,” Diaz states, “I hope to professionally learn how to use a filming camera.”
Elias Garcia, Photographer
First-year photographer senior Elias Garcia joins The Downey Legend as a photographer. Garcia is a laid back person who is looking forward to improving his skills. “ I'm really hoping to improve my creative ability with my shots and learn alot more so when I'm out there I get to choose between more options and get creative” Garcia stated. He wants to continue his education by going to Cerritos Community College and then transferring to Cal Poly Pomona. He has a lot of hobbies that allow him to explore nature and the beauty of the outdoors, including photographing these areas.
Garcia adores the beauty of each shot along with the nature he enjoys photographing; He wants to use his articulate and well-developed skills in the real world as an agricultural engineer.
