The Greatest Showman starring Zac Efron and Zendaya, is about the birth of show business and a visionary who rose up from nothing into something, with  the movie coming out Dec 8, 2017, lots of young adults have found that along with the movie, the soundtrack is also inspiring.       

The story told behind “This is Me” is you should embrace who you are as a person and not to be scared of who you are.  There is only one you in the world and no one will ever be better than who you are today. Keala Settle, who play Lettie Lutz in The Greatest Showman, really provided us with a song that builds us up to wanting to the things we never thought we would.  

In Greatest Showman there are certain lyrics that speak to me in a way I wouldn’t think they would.  “When the sharpest words wanna cut me down, I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out. I am brave, I am bruised, I am who I’m meant to be, this is me.” These lyrics express that no matter what happens, be yourself. No matter what happens when someone talks behind your back, you have to embrace who you are in your way.

I think many people can relate to this song because we all are going through stuff, some go through more than others. This song and movie really shows you can do anything you want and you do not have to change who you are just so they like you.
