Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 DVD was released in stores on Friday, April 15. Since it is the first half of a two-part movie, the DVD will be lacking in special features. Still, DVD sales are expected to be high due to the enormous success of the movie when it was in theatres. Anticipation is growing and Potter mania has sky rocketed.
“I can’t wait to buy it when it comes out,” Jamie Gonzalez said. “I saw it in theatres and fell in love with it. It’s a great movie to bring home and watch with your family.”
This movie has been the most liked by fans because it is more accurately connected with the books, including word for word dialogue straight from the hand of J.K. Rowling herself.
“I am absolutely getting the DVD. It was the best movie,” Priscilla Chacon said. “I just love how the movies take you into another world and make you part of the battle of good vs. evil.”
Not every student is in love the Harry Potter moment, though. Some students felt the seventh movie fell short of expectations while others just hate the franchise altogether.
“I really don’t understand the fascination with Harry Potter,” Cassy Ferreira said. “I watched the seventh movie and it was boring and slow going.”
For those who loved the first movie, the second part of the seventh installment will be released into theatres during the month of July of this year. For those who hated it, steer clear of the theatres this summer because once again Potter mania will commence.

YES. I am so waiting in line to watch the movie when it releases, and will totally buy the DVD. I don’t care if they are basically milking Harry Potter. I love it too much to care.
